Visit ARTrageous…

your community art venue!

ARTrageous is locally owned and operated by Gwen Mesikep, a visual artist with a passion for creating colorful mosaics and vintage McDonaldland play equipment restoration. Opening ARTrageous, a community arts center, is a dream fulfilled. Sarah Carnes, local artist and certified visual art educator leads the ARTrageous curriculum, bringing over 30 years of pre-K through 12th grade classroom experience. Ms. Sarah has taught numerous hands-on workshops across Oklahoma, including Balinese silk scarf, Zentangle, jewelry design, watercolor, ceramics, glassworks, printmaking, mixed-media, and many more. Bringing over 20 years of classroom experience to the team, Miss Brittany Paige specializes in teaching realism and surrealism — drawing and painting in acrylic and oil. She has a passion for bringing a sense of freedom of expression to creators of all ages.

The vision of the ARTrageous leadership team is to support the inner-creativity for all youngsters, youth, and adults of all ages and abilities, by offering a venue with a variety of camps, classes, parties, birthday parties, selfie stations, yoga, Zumba, and community events. ARTrageous supports local Oklahoma artists and spotlights their creativity and talents.

Service areas include Yukon, Mustang, El Reno, Piedmont, Bethany, Warr Acres, Tuttle, Oklahoma City, and more. Students from Yukon Public Schools, Mustang Public Schools, El Reno Public Schools, Piedmont Public Schools, Bethany Public Schools, Putnam City Public Schools, Tuttle Public Schools, Oklahoma City Public Schools, Western Heights Public Schools, EPIC, Charter, Private and Home Schools are encouraged to participate in the special ARTrageous experiences to expand their techniques and portfolios.
